7 series that will change your life – Part 3

Breaking Bad was one of the most critically acclaimed television shows of all time. It won numerous awards, including 16 Primetime Emmy Awards, eight Satellite Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, and two Peabody Awards. The show’s title is a Southern colloquialism meaning, among other things, “raising hell”, and was chosen by Gilligan to describe Walter White’s transformation from Mr. Chips to Scarface. A sequel film, El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie, starring Paul was released on Netflix and in theaters on October 11, 2019. The first season was originally intended to be nine episodes, but due to the 2007–2008 Writers Guild of America strike only seven episodes were filmed.

AMC announced in 2009 that Breaking Bad was renewed for a third, 13-episode season. The complete third season was released on Region 1 DVD and Region A Blu-ray on June 7, 2011. In August 2013, AMC released a trailer promoting the premiere of the final season. Breaking Bad is “built on the uncomfortable premise that there’s an irrefutable difference between what’s right and what’s wrong”, says Chuck Klosterman. Walt justifies his decision to become a criminal because of his desire to provide for his family.
